Fashion.
What does the word bring to mind? Are you like me and see little Paris Hilton's lined up one by one all bitching and moaning? Is the one word in your mind clone? Then your very much like me and we may actually manage to harbour a friendship. But that is hardly one fact to base a friendship on and off topic at that.
So fashion, its everywhere. Its popped up world wide on a global scale. Every single country in the world has its own fashion. From the Japanese Kimono and all of its differnt varietys inspired by the traditional to the things that every American, and Canadian girl dreams of: Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, at least I can admit its my dream.
Its well known to everyone that these brands are the staple of luxury and chic, and probably more importantly, status and wealth. Personally I would love to have brand names and yes its in my dreams, but I personally would rather have a 1000$ more towards a house then a single purse sitting and collecting dust in my closet of doom.
I actually mentioned to my special someone a while ago I really wanted a real Louis Vuitton purse, his response? "If its what you really want but it would be all of next months money"
I thought his remark was sweet yet slightly crazy. I told him i was perfectly happy with the imitation we had found at a second hand store, I'll wait until I'm much older to start buying into the real luxury items. So i have come to two conclusions. First of all, I have the sweetest, yet craziest guy in the world.( it's a good thing! ) Second of all fashion doesn't have to be excessively expensive to be fashionable.
You can get the most amazing things every at second hang stores, I've gotten Parasuco jeans, imitation Louis Vuitton purses, tons of them actually! American Eagle and Miss sixty and to tell you the truth, even some of the non-brand name items can be gorgeous. I got this gorgeous pair of stiletto heels that are black, and frilly and in absolute perfect condition and I have officialy named them my buy of the year, just waiting for summer for roll around so i can wear them!
I love second hand stores so much. Honestly, from one girl to another, check out a second hand shop, you'll be surprised!
Tomorrow I am going to mostly have a blog with pictures of the amazing, items and their prices that I have snagged at secondhand and used stores, everything from brand names to just regular stuff that looks incredible.
